Men in Red

I know that this is a sentence commonly used for women, but men have proven to be just as efficient while wearing this color.

Now lets all take 'Santa Claus' out of this equation to do the proper picture…*closingeyes*.. better!

Funny/curious fact: in psychology red is the color that represents masculinity, so yes this title makes all the more sense.

I am going to stop all my excuses now and let you see for yourselves:

Yap, they've been wearing it nice!

And I would like to give credit to, no other then the 'Delirious' man himself, Eddie!!

Why I buy fashion magazines even though I do not care much for Fashion:

My very favorite magazine is National Geographic, after Psychologies and then fashion magazines.

During my college years I would love to read a good article while sipping on a decaf caramel macchiato at Starbucks, this was right in front of the building where I studied, mind you the Charing Cross Road building was more than a fashion college, it was a fashion mausoleum.

Even though I was an aspiring art curator a lot of my classes took place here. On these corridors I constantly heard whispers of the feats of our fellow colleagues Alexander Macqueen, Stella McCartney and John Galliano.
I did appreciate clothes, textures, materials, but I had always found the fashion industry a little bizarre. Ultimatly I was no different from any Central Saint Martins’ student, with all those final year events and studio doors open, I became somewhat interested in Fashion history. Oh and the subject under the same name, that was part of my degree may have contributed as well.

Long story short it started in a much more pretentious and research disguised way with Wonderland and Dazed and Confused. Image wise, they were genius but I always found myself browsing a catalogue of abstract images instead of reading a magazine. So I surrendered to the magazine racks at the supermarket's check outs, and there they were: Glamour, Marie Claire, Elle and with freebies (cosmetics, accessories, books, etc).

The content was just what I was looking for, the latest high street tendencies for clothes and make up, plus inspiring stories from women with extraordinary careers or takes in life. There was the odd article on ‘What men say about women?’, or on ‘How to find a boyfriend before 30?’, but I did not mind it because at the end of the day these magazines do need those Sex and the City revivalists to keep the business going.

Here's a fine example of a great article on a great woman done by an awesome fashion mag:

CHANEL Nº5

Chanel nº 5, my very favorite fragrance. It's been almost an entire century and still there is no match for such scent perfection. It is warm and fresh at the same time, even people prone to headaches or dizziness caused by perfumes won't get it from this gem, whose lemony jasmine ooze will leave you wanting more.

I'm not a fan of Miss Coco Chanel herself, the whole Nazi association and the Jacky Onassis style were never up my ally. But thinking perfumes you gotta give it to the Place Vendôme inspired bottle.

With a 120 dollars price tag, it is no easy decision to make, but do as I do and save your bottle for the special occasions. I get mine in duty free stores at airports, plus save on putting on some every time I go to a department store, there's one close to my work^^

Enjoy the video for a better insight!

Just in case you're still saving up for that very first bottle, here's something you can try in the mean time, I don't DIY, but this youtuber's videos are awesome!

My favorite lipsticks

It's the autumn season and here I am thinking about what lippies are in! However none of the new collections seem to convince me, I'm starting to think that has to do with the fact that I'm quite satisfied with my present (modest) collection.

When it comes to dressing I'm not a big color changer. Season after season I go with the basic and classic colors, by only changing models, designs, patterns and shapes. I guess this security in colors comes from my phobia of a stuffed closet with brand new clothes I no longer wear, a.k.a ‘no longer in season’, a.k.a ‘fashion waste’. My wedge sneakers were a big gamble already^^

Blue, grey, and the eternal black and white combo, make me feel so safe!! My audacity really goes on my makeup, jewelry and other accessories = BAMM!

This safety comes with a great perk, my lipsticks very rarely don't go with what I'm wearing. Yes, what I call 'safety in clothes' you might call 'fashion laziness'. But guess what? It works! Anyways now I'm getting cocky and completely off point.

Here's my favorite all season lipsticks:

I’m still undecided about the whole VAMP look, it just doesn’t look safe ~.~’’
